Celebrating 30 years to the Convention on the Rights of the Child, recognized by 192 countries around the world.
On November 26-28, 2019, an International Conference will be held in Israel to mark the 30th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, which is educationally related to the concepts of Janusz Korczak, notably recognized for children’s rights.The issue of child rights is anchored today in a series of international treaties and documents as well as in the student rights law in Israel.
The conference will serve as a meeting platform for academics, researchers, decision makers and influential persona from Israel and around the world together with teachers and students. The conference will present theories and applications for the implementation of the Convention as well as pedagogical and educational trends in the 21st century that create educational frameworks for the “School of Life” for the younger generation with the intention of educating towards a responsible, involved and caring citizenship.

On Tuesday, November 26, 2019 in the
framework of the International Conference
“School of Life in the 21st Century”
The tour will present participants with educational models in elementary and secondary education aimed at promoting a culture of dialogue and deeds in the implementation of children rights in the humanistic approach of Korczak.
The tour will take place between 8:00 and 16:00
Place of departure- will be forwarded to those who register.
Study Tour Program:
- Visit to Ankori Studio School in Tel Aviv – Jaffa, which combines arts in its learning process through collaboration with the Gesher Theater.
- Visit to Yadlin School in Rishon le Zion. The school leads innovative pedagogy implementing a culture of rights through a process of teaching and learning developing unique programs for the study of rights.
- Meeting with the chairperson of the Committee on the Promotion of Child Status of the Local Authority, at Rishon le Zion Municipality. This committee is a mandatory municipal one. Its role is to initiate and plan activities to promote the status of children and youth in the municipality, protect their rights, and promote their participation in decision-making processes on issues that concern them.
